LAEF offers on-campus classes to elementary, middle and high school students, which are taught by credentialed teachers and highly qualified instructors to enhance learning beyond the school bell. There is a 10-week session in the Fall and a 14-week session in the Spring.
Subjects include STEM classes (such as robotics, physics, science experiments, LEGO engineering, computer coding, 3D printing, computer aided drafting and more), art, languages (Mandarin, Spanish and American Sign Language), music, drama, musical theater, sports/fitness, dance, cooking, jiu-jitsu, karate and more.
LAEF brings annual STEAM Fairs (science, technology, engineering, the arts and math) to each school and a district-wide STEAM Showcase. LAEF also provides STEAM teachers who conduct STEAM project development classes at each campus for no charge.
