    A Message from Jason’s Family

    Jason Barnes was a 2014 graduate of Los Alamitos High School. He was a 4 year wrestler and an Eagle Scout with Troop 657. Jason was compassionate, caring, and honest. He was a hard worker and an amazing friend, brother, and son. He loved boating, animals, travel, anime, and above all else, history. While pursuing his passion of archeology and anthropology, Jason enrolled in a trade school.

    We knew we wanted to do something in Jason’s memory that would continue to honor him. This scholarship does just that. In May, at senior awards night, the scholarship will be awarded to someone interested in pursuing a career in the trades.

    Jason is survived by his parents, Phil and Cindy, and his sister Sarah.
